As a fiscal sponsor, in addition to receiving contributions, administrative organizing, and tax filing, ASP hopes to collaborate and share resources together. ASP's priority is to uplift community-based education about death care. We'd love to create together to share teach-ins, workshops, and/or table at your event(s).
A Fiscal Sponsor is a non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service that acts as a guardian of grants and donations for a Project that does not have 501(c)(3) designation. A Fiscal Sponsor is necessary for one good reason: funders are often more likely to make donations to anyone with 501(c)(3) status than those without. Some foundations, and sometimes governments cannot give grants to projects without a 501(c)(3). Also, some individuals often prefer to give to 501(c)(3) organizations so they can deduct the charitable donation on their tax return.
The Little Bloom Book is about how observing the life cycles of my plants taught me to better listen to myself. - Excerpt from The Little Bloom Book
The Community Response Network 206 (CRN 206) is devoted to meeting the care needs of all members of the community, particularly those who have been harmed by and neglected by state systems.
Our communities include but are not limited to Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, Trans people, disabled people, LGBTQIA+, immigrants and refugees, poor, formerly incarcerated, and other vulnerable people. We center our values on liberation, sovereignty, and justice for the most unprotected people. As most of the communities we represent have become accustomed to a culture of harm, it is very important to us that everything we do comes from a place of compassion. We understand that while we are often not seen this way, we are worth nurturing. We see each community member’s experiences as valuable expertise in our goal to show love for each other through our actions. This is how we bring our vision of a better world to fruition.
The Letting Go Project is dedicated to guiding individuals through a peaceful and conscious end-of-life journey. Founded by Zero aka Charlie Nicely, the project offers comprehensive resources, education, and support to help those facing life-threatening illnesses navigate this profound transition through the alchemy of an attuned and empathetic relationship.
The project connects individuals with trained volunteers who are skilled in conscious dying practices. Our volunteers are equipped to provide compassionate, personalized support throughout the entire process, ensuring that each person's unique needs are met.
In addition to emotional and spiritual support, some of our volunteers offer holistic therapies, including energy healing, massage, expressive arts, ketamine-assisted therapy, acupuncture, and somatic therapy. This diverse range of practices reflects our commitment to honoring and integrating different traditions and approaches, providing a well-rounded and inclusive experience for those in need. The Letting Go Project’s aim is to offer a nurturing presence and a variety of resources to support both individuals as they embark on the journey of letting go.

Planning for a compassionate death that reflects one’s priorities, values, and beliefs is important. Choices are also important–and available. VSED NW aims to share information about VSED so that individuals who might not qualify for medical support in death so they can make informed choices and plans. ASP had the opportunity to work closely with and fiscally sponsor VSED NW during their founding years in 2019-2022.
