How to Volunteer with ASP:

We have a multi-step process for interested volunteers; it is important for us to grow both in relationship and learning as we care for people, places, and things together. Below is the process for all volunteer roles, all residents, and people who wish to become more involved in the A Sacred Passing community.

Sign up on our Volunteer Google Form
Receive an invitation to the next co-hort a month or so before the co-hort (Scheduled Seasonally)
Complete self-directed online training (can happen during live Zoom sessions)
Attend weekly Zoom sessions with co-hort (Scheduled Seasonally)
Join in-person orientation at Asphodel

Asphodel is our community home located in South Seattle, Washington. There are many different types of volunteer opportunities for this role.

A Place to Die

A Place to Die volunteers care for both MAiD and VSED guests. These are direct care roles - sitting with the guest and their people, helping change linens, helping shroud, accompanying the body until the transport comes, cooking for the volunteers and other care roles. Administrative

We welcome administrative support in a few different ways. Social media, fundraising, newsletter creation, educational bites, and so much more!

Fundraising

We need help with grant writing, in-kind donations of construction and remodeling of the community house, and building out a sustainable donor community.
