3-day Death Care 101

Our 3-days Together

Learning in Community

Learning in Community

In this in-person program, we will learn through sharing conversation and meals, hands-on practice, and introducing important resources for community death care.

ASP's unique curriculum is offered by a crew of educators and caretakers committed to working toward death care justice and community care.

Learning in Community

Learning in Community

Learning in Community

Facilitators and students create intentions and a learning space together at our community home.

Over the weekend by sharing food, skills, and time, we will begin a process of relationship building and companionship. Together we will open conversations and share resources for a range of death care topics.

For Do-ers

In-person February 2024

Learn with us!

Class is at Our House!

A Sacred Passing invites you to a 3-day workshop to learn more about death care practices and options for end-of-life care. This death care training is an introduction to the nonmedical physical, emotional, practical, and spiritual care of the living, dying, and dead.

Workshop Description

This in-person workshop includes introductory discussions surrounding the history and culture of death care in the United States, highlighting themes of choice, access, oppression, and liberation in death care. Together we will ask questions and introduce common themes in nonmedical, medical, and legal components of end-of-life and death care.

Death Care Training with ASP encourages and centers conversation surrounding dominant cultural norms and justice-based alternatives for support techniques. We will share about options available related to choice in death care and offer resources to continue your learning. The group meets 5p-9p on Friday evening, and 10a-3p on Saturday and Sunday.
