Complex feelings can compound when they stay inside, and sometimes we just need space to be. Many people are making a choice to live, and it's really hard. In this space we can be together in conversation about what life is like when actively making the choice to live while not wanting to.
Over appetizers we will share a poem, the boundaries for the space, community wishes, and introductions. We offer a variety of conversational prompts, though conversations may also take their own direction, led by the attendees.
This is a time to be kind and honest with how your body is feeling. A time to let out the sadness between your bones and the angst wrapping around your muscles; the heavy in your heart this is a time for it all to be offered a chance to move. Move in ways that honor your energetic body and make room for grace.
Join us the 3rd Thursday of every month for an evening of movement for grievers with Bibi, a Southend Treasure.

Une Bonne Mort © is Washington's Conference for the Living who are caring for the Dying and the Dead. The organizers of Une Bonne Mort created this conference in response to an absence of conversations about access, systematically marginalized humans, autonomy, and community.
Blooming with Grief © was a community gathering making space to honor grief and joy thru music, art, movement, and food. it has left us feeling the magic from gathering, while learning to feel free and safe in feeling our grief. This was a beautiful Spring gathering in 2022 and for many of us, the first in-person grief event since 2019.
Thank you to all the artists and curators who made this happen.
CHinalek Festival is hosted by artists from Flower Flower, a space for Growing Ideas and Tending Soil. This Queer & Trans, Pasifika & Asian Owned space is coming soon to Seattle’s Chinatown-International District! Follow them on IG for details.
