Our Directors are responsible for upholding the mission of A Sacred Passing. We do such in part by reviewing all curriculum taught from the ASP platform for the content, bias and accessibility. The Board is comprised of folx with a variety of lived experiences, passions and knowledge that create the lens in which way we engage in learning, teaching and existing in this world.
Lupe Tejada Díaz (she/her) is an activist, an advocate, and a Death Doula. Her work centers around the idea that end of life care and resources should be accessible to all. She is deeply passionate about uplifting, empowering, and supporting marginalized communities, and spreading awareness about the ever-present racial and socioeconomic disparities in death care.
Born in Mexico City, Lupe brings a different cultural perspective to the board. Drawing strength and wisdom from her tribe’s sacred ancestral teachings, she hopes to shift western mindsets and plant seeds of growth, change, compassion and death positivity"
Our teaching crew works collaboratively to ensure our curriculum is constantly evolving, inclusive, accessible and working against capitalist racist systems present in so many spaces that exist today.
